This past Sunday we sailed (tubed) the Shuswap River, and this coming Sunday (July 27) we’re going to be hiking the famous Enderby Cliffs. If you haven’t seen the breathtaking views from the Cliffs, this is something you won’t want to miss (or so I’ve heard). Come on out, bringing a good pair of hiking shoes and lots of water (and a fannypack or something to carry it), and any other person you happen to be hanging with that day. We’re meeting at the Enderby Visitor Information Centre at 2:00, and then we’ll head out soon after that. Hope to see you there, and call your Young Life leader if you need a ride! Just one of the amazing vistas from the Enderby Cliffs.
I’ve seen fire and I’ve seen rain
I’ve seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I’ve seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I’d see you again
Those words by James Taylor’s song “Fire and Rain” really have nothing to do with Young Life’s “Fire and Rain” happening this coming Friday night (May 2), hosted by John and Rachel Hamming of Young Life in Armstrong. If you’re in Vernon, meet at the Sleep Country parking lot at 6:00 to carpool out to meet the crew in Armstrong at 7:00 for a capture the flag type game of Fire and Rain. Contact Rachel in Armstrong at 309-4990 or Steve in Vernon at 308-9588 for more information.

Forms are now out for RockRidge Canyon this summer, and they can be downloaded here.
Plus, check out the promo video for what will surely be the Best Week of Your Life.
Welcome to 2008, which has been designated (according to the entry on Wikipedia) as the International Year of Sanitation (as well as several other designations, like International Year of the Potato). It’s going to be a great one, and we at Young Life are looking forward to all that’s in store, including Club starting up again in Vernon on January 21 and in Armstrong on January 29.
Also, one of the highlights is sure to be Snow Camp at RockRidge Canyon, Young Life’s amazing camp that just gets better every year. Registration forms are available now, and need to be handed in as soon as possible to ensure a spot. Snow Camp promises to be just what you need to get away for the weekend with a bunch of friends and your Young Life leaders, to get energized for the rest of the year. Check out our schedule for the latest Club times and locations, and make sure to check out last year’s Snow Camp video (above) to see what’s in store! Hope to see you there!
It is a kind of sandwich, which is usually cut into quarters, and held together by cocktail sticks. The traditional club ingredients are turkey, bacon, lettuce, and tomato. As with a BLT sandwich, the club sandwich is usually served on toasted bread, but untoasted bread can be used. Chicken is sometimes substituted for turkey. Mayonnaise is a common condiment, but honey mustard is sometimes used. Some versions also contain ham. Cheese is often added to the sandwich as well, usually Swiss, American, or Cheddar.
It is thought that the club sandwich was invented in an exclusive Saratoga Springs, New York gambling club in the late 19th Century by a maverick line cook named Danny Mears.
But the Club that we’re talking about takes place at 7:00 on Mondays in Vernon and Tuesdays in Armstrong. Click here for locations, and we’ll see you there! Purchase Zovirax
